Zod's Message was a warning from General Dru-Zod demanding the surrender of Kara Zor-El, but because she was being guarded, Zod and the Sword of Rao began to attack Earth.

Shortly before Krypton's destruction, Jor-El sent his newborn son Kal-El aboard a starcraft bound for Earth. Believing that it contained the Growth codex, General Dru-Zod and the Sword of Rao intercepted the ship and murdered the child, discovering that, in reality, his cousin, Kara Zor-El, was the bearer of the Codex. Zod and the Sword of Rao traveled through space inside the Black Zero in search of her, eventually locating her on Earth.[1]

Once the Black Zero, Dru-Zod's flagship, was floating off the coast of Australia, it sent a global broadcast to all the screens in the world as the news and media reported the sighting of the ship. Zod then appeared without his helmet and issued a warning message in search of the individual whom they considered a traitor and requesting to return her to his custody. Barry Allen and his younger self watched the broadcast, with the older Allen distraughtly warning of the danger Zod posed to Earth.[1]

Allen listens to how the Black Zero Event went on his older self's reality.
Barry Allen and his younger self left the bar and walked down the streets as Allen explained to his younger self how Superman defeated Dru-Zod during the Battle of Metropolis in his reality, revealing that he was present during the devastation. Remembering the disaster that the battle caused, Allen planned to reunite the Justice League in this reality to stop Zod and prevent thousands of casualties, using his past self's computer to search for the whereabouts of his companions. However, Allen soon discovered that by having altered the past, he also caused significant changes to this reality. Without heroes like Superman, Cyborg, Aquaman or Wonder Woman, Allen and his younger self went in search of Bruce Wayne's help.[1]
