The mayor called for an emergency city council meeting to map out the plans for rebuilding Metropolis in the wake of the Battle of Metropolis.[3]
The mayor showed initial praise for Superman's actions during the battle to the point of raising the idea of erecting a statue in Superman's honor.[4]
Sometime later the Daily Planet reported on the Mayor's growing concerns about the popularity of the brand of heroism associated with Superman and the vigilante Batman.[5]
In 2016, the Mayor announced that the Metropolis Police Department would be aiding its counterpart in Gotham City to help the new crime wave plaguing the neighboring city.[6]
In 2017, the Mayor was quoted by the Daily Planet with regards to Superman's apparent resurrection. The mayor believed that Superman had not returned without a purpose, going on to say that celebrations regarding Superman were reaching from Gotham City to Tokyo.[7]
