For the Metropolis counterpart, see Wayne Tower (Metropolis). |
Wayne Tower is the headquarters of Wayne Enterprises in Gotham City.[1]
Characteristics[]
Wayne Tower looms over Gotham City as one of the tallest buildings. The 12 gargoyles ringing its spire are said to guard the entrances to Gotham.[1]
Behind the Scenes[]
- In the DC Extended Universe, Wayne Tower was first seen in the "Fly to Gotham City with Turkish Airlines!" TV spot for Super Bowl 50 in 2016. It was further detailed in Time Out Shortlist Gotham and Metropolis, written by Daniel Wallace.
- The Wayne Enterprises logo seen at the top of Wayne Tower in the Turkish Airlines TV spot is the same one from the Dark Knight Trilogy that is also seen in Man of Steel. This is likely not a mistake, as the new Wayne Enterprises logo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is seen in the same TV spot.
- Wayne Tower is a staple of Batman in DC Comics media, having first appeared in Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #27 (February 1992).
