When Starro was released from Jotunheim, WXPT reported what happened, notifying that President Mateo Suarez was killed by the creature. Vera watched the news on a television set moments before his death and that he proclaimed that he would succeed Suarez as President.^[1]

WXPT appears to be an original newscast for the DC Extended Universe, having not appeared before in DC Comics.
