  • Can we please stop changing the bio to say the chemicals dyed his hair green and magically put permanent lipstick on him?

The chemicals bleached his hair and skin white. We know this because they bleach Harley's hair and skin. After jumping in the chemicals we can see the green run from his hair and patches become lighter. We can see the lipstick smudged in some scenes. His makeup and eye shadow isn't on in the Arkham flashback scenes, making his eyes look flesh-ier and unhealthy.

I know we don't have an official source saying 'This is fact', but we can infer based on the movie. Nowhere in the movie is it infered that the hair and lips were a result of the chemicals, that's like assuming the grill and tattoos are a result of the chemicals.

we have two characters who have taken acid baths. We get to see one character do it. Both have white skin afterwards and one has bleached hair as well. It is safe to assume that, upon falling in the same vat, Joker had the same reaction (albeit he seems whiter and therefore must have been submerged longer).

    • Some good points made, but what you're arguing is still every bit as dubious as what you're arguing against. The finer details of such things were not revealed in depth, so we will never know for sure.

    • Yeah i get that, just saying that logically it would make sense that he dyed his hair and used lipstick. It just feels like a bit of a goof to give the chemicals credit for that in the context of the film.

    • This is no different than Heath Ledger's Joker

    • I've read your post and understand where you're coming from, but you can't just make assumptions about a character that has been around for many years based on ONE movie. I understand that it's more logical to assume that he wears make up and dyes his hair because no one really looks like that in real life. BUT, if you look into the creation of the character all the facts are there. Comic book writers and the creators of the character have confirmed that he fell into the VAT of chemicals which turned his hair bright green, his skin chalk white and his lips bright red. He was horrified by his new appearance and upon seeing his disfigurement he went insane. I feel like people who claim he wears make up and such, haven't really read into the character at all and are basing their information off the Suicide Squad movie. If you think about it logically, it’s kind of silly for the character to wear make up and dye his hair as this implies that every so often he has to go out and buy new hair dye and make up and take the time to maintain his appearance. To me, this seems really unlikely and down right absurd as the character is a career criminal and a psychopath who dedicates his life to creating chaos in Gotham and tormenting the Bat. It doesn’t seem likely that he takes time out of his day of killing people to retouch his hair and make up.
