Stop Dragon My Heart Around is the seventh episode of the first season of Peacemaker. The episode was directed by Brad Anderson and written by James Gunn, and it was released on Max on February 10, 2022.
Synopsis[]
Harcourt, Murn, and Adebayo find themselves surrounded by an alien force, while Peacemaker squares off against his father with help from Vigilante and Economos.
Plot[]
Peacemaker remembers the last moments of his brother Keith before he murdered him, they were listening to music having fun together, in that a friend of his father arrived who warned them that it was time to fight. Keith and Chris later begin to fight, however Auggie tells his son Chris that he hit like a girl, prompting him to hit Keith harder knocking him to the ground, Keith then began convulsing until he died as Auggie angrily insulted Chris for killing him. Peacemaker nearly cried in the bathroom at the thought while Vigilante asked if he was okay.
Chris and Adrian then met while Caspar Locke talks about the diary on TV, Smith gets angry with Leota for betraying him while sees that Judomaster escaped, meanwhile the Aryan Empire tracks down Peacemaker's helmets to chase him, annoyed Peacemaker prepares to leave the shop while arguing with Economos and Chase and convinces them to come with him. Harcourt arrives at Adebayo's apartment and confronts her angrily for betraying Peacemaker, annoyed Leota ends up arguing with her, Harcourt then asks why she came on the mission, to which Leota reveals that she lost her job and that her mother Amanda Waller offered the mission, Murn then arrives and asks them to put their differences aside and pack up to leave.
At the E-Z P-Z Mart, two men head out to shop but are surprised to find Judomaster at the entrance, so before entering they start making fun of him, while Harcourt leaves a message for Peacemaker saying that they would try to work things out. In that, Peacemaker has fun with his friends listening to rock on the escape trip, to which one of the White Dragon's henchmen drags and notifies him of Peacemaker's location, he then proceeds to shoot down the truck in which his son was causing that they fall confused. White Dragon then proceeds to open the door of the truck and immediately afterwards he tries to shoot him, failing after Vigilante started shooting him with his gun, Vigilante later throws a grenade at close range towards White Dragon causing Vigilante to get injured as Peacemaker tried to save him.
White Dragon survives the explosion and asks his henchmen to continue looking for Peacemaker so that they leave, Vigilante hides behind a tree after surviving the impact. As Peacemaker and Economos escaped into the woods, Smith discovers that he was found by tracking his helmet and decides to take it off by giving it to a raccoon, meanwhile the Empire discovers that Vigilante escaped by stealing their car. In the market, the men finish shopping and are surprised by Judomaster who knocks them out and steals their car to go to the apartment. While trying to leave, Murn discovers that the police have arrived, and they quickly go up to his apartment to knock the door, to which Harcourt and Adebayo were secretly watching. The Aryan Empire finds Peacemaker's location but they discover the raccoon while Peacemaker and Economos watch from a distance and then escape, in that Vigilante faints in the car causing it to stop.
When the police begin to knock louder, Murn communicates through a radio communicator to ask them to leave, saying that he's proud of the team they formed and praying that they kill the cow, when the police enter Murn begins to shooting however he's stopped, Sophie Song's butterfly soon after kills Murn upon meeting the cow. Murn's butterfly comes out of his body and tries to escape but Song stops it with her hand and discovers Ik Nobe Llok, proceeding to kill him. When the police leave, Harcourt and Adebayo enter the apartment and find the butterfly about to die whom Harcourt holds in its last breaths. In that Judomaster arrives and begins to attack them, Harcourt fights Judomaster very aggressively as a distraction, so that Adebayo then proceeded to electrocute him until he faint.
Aryan Empire continues to search for Smith when they find his location, Smith then finds Vigilante and asks him to drive while Economos tries to get on when Eagly bothers him, Vigilante later remembers that he left the other helmets in the car, so Smith stop to get them out while Eagly comes out too and Economos has to make him go up again, the Empire then finds Peacemaker and begins to chase him as he tries to escape. Economos, seeing that the Aryans have arrived, gets scared and runs into the woods where he meets Vigilante peeing, the Aryans knock Smith to the ground to which the White Dragon lands and hits Eagly as he approaches, Peacemaker saw this and quickly gets up to run and push his father, however he uses the powers of his suit to hit him. a blow that knocks him to the ground.
Auggie gives a misogynistic speech about how he regretted not having killed Chris before, when Auggie was about to kill him he's stopped by Vigilante who begins to break the weak parts of the suit, however he throws Chase to the ground, when the aryans were about to shoot him Economos grabs Chase's gun and begins to kill all the aryans. White Dragon tries to kill Chris again but his powers don't work, Chris then takes advantage and throws his father to start hitting him while tells him that he's regretful for not killing him before, Auggie however continues to mock him, so Chris points a revolver at his father, however Auggie continues to manipulate his son inciting him to shoot him, which Chris ends up doing. Peacemaker begins to cry over what happened as Chase and Economos watch.
In the apartment, Leota talks with Harcourt about how Waller insisted her on joining the mission, while they continued talking Harcourt comforts Leota saying that she was made for the mission. At that Economos calls Harcourt to go quickly to the Paws A Moment Veterinary Clinic, Harcourt and Adebayo arrive confused to which Economos explains that the nurses kindly offered to cure Eagly but Vigilante began to threaten them with a gun. Vigilante argued that they had been discovered and they shouldn't risk being reported, however Harcourt convinces Vigilante that they should just tie them up, Leota would then receive a message from Keeya and proceeded to go to the halls to call her.
While walking, Adebayo watches Chris praying for Eagly through the window, in that Eagly would get up and hug Chris, surprised Leota remembered what Peacemaker told her about miracles, while Eagly hugged Chris, he took the opportunity to take a picture with his mobile. Leota then calls Keeya and tells her what happened when she saw it as a sign that she should return to the team. Leota then returns to the team to tell them that she was back on the mission, as they Murn was gone, the team makes Harcourt the leader, she then explains all the information she knows about the cow and how the butterflies planned teleport it, rushing the team to stop them
The whole team agrees to join the mission including the nurses, however the team tells them that they cannot go since they were going to die, immediately afterwards the team holds the nurses in chairs and proceeds to to go to the mission by kidnapping their truck to go to Coverdale Ranch, on the way Leota tries to apologize to Smith but he rejects his apology, while Economos turns up the volume of the radio saying there is no wrong time to rock.
In a post-credit scene, Caspar Locke gives the speech on television where he affirs that purity was close to dignity, while continuing to talk about purity of blood, shortly after Locke begins to move his hips awkwardly, so Song interrupted him saying that they had to go.
