Cold War[]
The Soviet Union emerged as the rival superpower to the United States during the Cold War. In 1984, tensions between the United States become high to the point where a nuclear war was about to break out after the U.S nuclear arsenal was increased thanks to the effects of the Dreamstone. However, when everyone renounced their wishes, the missiles also vanished, preventing a potential nuclear holocaust.
It was also alleged that the Little Odessa neighborhood in Gotham City was a hive of Soviet spies and KGB officers, although this was never confirmed.
Dissolution[]
The Soviet Union dissolved into several new breakaway nations, marking the end of the Cold War in 1991.
