Escape from Wild Estates Apartment Complex[]

Song and Larry Fitzgibbon arrive at the Wild Estates Apartment Complex.
- "Officer, put that down."
"Why?"
"Because I think it's a face."
"A what?"
"A face. A human face." - ―Sophie Song and Peggy Sacks[src]
Sophie Song along with her partner Larry Fitzgibbon, accompanied by the Evergreen Police Department, went to the Wild Estates Apartment Complex after receiving a report of an explosion in the parking lot, where they found an intact possum, brifly talking about the violent Vigilante. When Peggy Sacks found what appeared to be a pizza, Song stopped her, letting her know that it was a piece of a human face, confusing her. When Johnson reported that more reinforcements had arrived, Song spoke to Fitzgibbon, noticing that there was a person wearing a helmet at the window of the building, so he asked a woman if there was another way out of the complex, who told him there was one behind it.

Song investigates the Wild Estates Apartment Complex.
Song then asked Sacks and Johnson to come with her, leaving other police officers to guard the parking lot. Going up an elevator, Song heard Johnson singing, becoming annoyed with him for not concentrating on the operation. As Song began to search for the fugitive, Fitzgibbon let her know that he had hidden in one of the rooms. Song asked if the fugitive had an object on his head, deducing that it might be Peacemaker, but since Fitgibbon couldn't see it, Song asked him to investigate the sixth floor.

Song shots the runaway.
Supervising the fifth floor, Song and Johnson came across a destroyed room, deciding to go to the sixth floor quickly to find the fugitive, meeting with Fitzgibbon and Sacks to open room 607. Using force to open it, the officers found the home's owners, Evan and Amber Calcaterra, tied to chairs, who informed them that the fugitive had escaped through the back of the building. Song tried to contact Captain Miele to find the fugitive, but when he saw the policemen fall, Song tried to shoot the fugitive along with Fitzgibbon as soon as they saw him escape to a rescue car, however they failed to stop him and the fugitive escaped.[1]
Arrest of Auggie Smith[]

Song is insulted by Auggie Smith.
- "Arrest me or get the fսck out of here, chopsticks."
"Yeah, well, we'll be seeing you, fork!" - ―Auggie Smith and Sophie Song[src]
Song and Larry Fitzgibbon started an investigation into the case, discovering the name of the parking lot explosion victim, Annie Sturphausen, and that a 1976 Ford Comet found at the location was registered to Auggie Smith. The duo headed to Smith's house to question him, but Song was discriminated against by Smith due to her oriental traits, so Song defended herself by calling Smith a walking scrotum, mocking him for not liking Chinese food.

Song and Larry Fitzgibbon confront Auggie Smith.
When Song asked Smith where he was the night before, Smith replied that he had stayed home, interrupting an argument between Fitzgibbon and Smith to demand to know why his vehicle was at the crime scene, but Smith explained that the Ford Comet belonged to his son Christopher Smith, shutting the door on them while insulting Song by calling it chopsticks, to which an annoyed Song called him a "fork", then talking to Fitzgibbon about the insult since everyone used forks.

Song interrogates Amber Calcaterra.
As they left the residence, Song asked Fitzgibbon if he heard Peacemaker escaped from Belle Reve, which he denied, assuming they would be tipped off, but Song claimed they would not be called to capture him. Searching for answers, the duo met with Evan and Amber Calcaterra, taking them to the police department to testify by showing them photos, during Amber's interrogation, she asked Song to keep a photo of Christopher Smith, and the couple testified that Auggie Smith was responsible.

Song watches horrified as Auggie Smith being praised.
Presenting evidence, Song and Larry Fitzgibbon gathered police reinforcements to arrest Auggie Smith, confronting him to inform him that he was under arrest. Later, Song went to the Evergreen Corrections Center, asking a guard why they didn't send Smith to Belle Reve or Arkham Asylum, to which he explained that both were full, Song then watched in horror as Smith began to be praised by the Aryan Empire members.[1]
Auggie Smith investigation[]

Song has a meeting with Auggie Smith.
- "So we're gonna free the damn White Dragon?"
"We have no choice. We have to if we're gonna arrest his son." - ―Larry Fitzgibbon and Sophie Song[src]
Song was informed that Auggie Smith wanted to talk to her, so she along with Larry Fitzgibbon took him into the interrogation room to hear him claim that he was not responsible for Annie Sturphausen's death, and Smith insulted her by calling her Lucy Liu, making Song laugh for their comparison since they both had Asian features, mocking him by calling him Jimmy Fallon, Guy Fieri, and Blake Shelton, while Fitzgibbon reminded him of the evidence they had against him.

Song taunts Auggie Smith.
Despite not believing him, Smith said that there was a sabotage against him, asking them to check his fingerprints with those of Christopher Smith, and Song agreed, asking Peggy Sacks to scan his fingerprints with her phone, but she argued with her for having to borrow a phone since she didn't have one in good range. When Fitzgibbon worried about having a possible fine for doing so, Song said she didn't care, watching as Smith was taken back to his cell while taunting Song's offspring for eating rice, so she taunted that she felt happy to have invented it.

Song and Fitzgibbon interrogate the Calcaterra.
Song received the result of the prints and began to analyze them, realizing that Auggie Smith's prints were forged with Christopher's, so she decided to go and interrogate the Calcaterra being accompanied by Fitzgibbon. Upon returning to the apartment, Song saw Evan with a threatening look to make him confess the truth that they were blackmailed, listening as they claimed that Peacemaker was the one who tied them up during his escape, but they didn't want to get him into trouble by being nice, listening to the fight between the two. As they left, Song and Fitzgibbon wondered how they changed the prints, mentioning to Fitzgibbon that they had no choice but to release Auggie Smith and arrest Christopher as they had enough evidence.[2]
Problems with Caspar Locke[]

Song meets Captain Caspar Locke.
- "Captain, last night, I took all the evidence to a judge, and I was issued an arrest warrant for Christopher Smith, our new key suspect in the murder of Annie Sturphausen. We couldn't rightly have two people in jail for the same crime."
"You have got no idea what you're fսcking with here." - ―Sophie Song and Caspar Locke[src]
At the police station, Song watched as Auggie Smith was returned to his cell while berating Song for continuing to be framed, confusing her, so she asked a guard why he was locked up, who told her that the prints were the same as his, frustrating Song, who went to talk to Captain Miele, but upon arriving at the office she found that Caspar Locke had replaced her. Song tried to explain that Auggie Smith was innocent, but Locke began asking if she was a forensic science expert or a fingerprint expert, angering her by teasing her.

Song is forced to take the night off.
Song claimed that Evan and Amber Calcaterra confessed that they were blackmailed into defending Peacemaker, but Locke reminded her that Auggie Smith was the leader of the Aryan Empire, and Song tried to convince him that Smith was framed despite being a bad man, but Locke approached her, considering her a good cop capable of proving that women are better than men, but asking her to take the night off, Song tried to refuse but Locke ordered her to, angering Song over Locke's irrational behavior.

Song meets with William Judy.
Song met with Larry Fitzgibbon to seek help, telling him how Locke would not do the right thing, she decided to go against him, going to William Judy's home who could help them as a judge, making Fitzgibbon think at Judge Judy but Song explained his last name and that Judy was her uncle, and telling him they could trust him when Fitzgibbon hesitated, when Judy answered the door meeting Song, she asked him if he knew Peacemaker, to which Judy was greeted the duo at home,[2], after explaining the situation, Song obtained an arrest warrant for Smith.

Song mocks Auggie Smith's translation.
The next day, Song and Fitzgibbon took Auggie Smith to be released, being insulted again by Smith for attempting to say goodbye in Chinese, but Song humiliated him by taunting that his translation said his hair was like donkey dung, and Song was disappointed in Fitzgibbon when he mockingly said goodbye to Smith, arguing with her partner until they were confronted by Caspar Locke, whom they informed that they got a warrant for Peacemaker's arrest, but Locke threatened her that she had no idea what she was doing, again confusing Song by his behavior.[3]
Chase of Peacemaker and Vigilante[]

Song warns officers of Peacemaker's abilities.
- "All units, suspect is gone. Spread out and search the surrounding area. Knock on all trailers and speak to the occupants regarding suspect's possible location."
- ―Sophie Song[src]
Song ordered Larry Fitzgibbon to prepare all the policemen to arrest Peacemaker, attempting a fist bump with his partner to no avail. As the officers began to arm themselves to arrest Smith, Song explained that Smith was a trained assassin, asking them to be careful. Having gathered all the officers, Song led them to capture Peacemaker in his trailer, ordering them to surround his home to prevent his escape.

Song orders Johnson to destroy the door.
Song used a bullhorn to call for Peacemaker's surrender, but Larry Fitzgibbon helped her position the bullhorn so it could be heard, Song continued to repeatedly warn Peacemaker to come out with his hands up in peace, threatening him with a warrant for his arrest, getting frustrated at not getting a response, so she allowed Johnson to break down the door to enter the home, scanning the entire area for Smith but not finding him, upsetting Song.

Song orders the cops to find Peacemaker.
Assuming that Smith is in the area, Song microphoned the other officers to inquire at each RV for Peacemaker's location to prevent his escape while other police inspected the trailer for clues, while she stood guard in front of the trailer in searching for a trace of Peacemaker, chatting with a policeman to hear testimonies from residents, until hearing a whistle along with an eagle flying in the woods, asking Fitzgibbon if Smith had a pet eagle and reporting that he saw it coming into the woods.

Song is killed by Eek Stack Ik Ik.
Song headed behind the trailer to find the eagle, before hearing sounds in the trees, telling Fitzgibbon to lead a troop of police into the woods. Song continued to monitor the forest until she saw Vigilante fall, ordering him not to move from the ground, however, Song didn't realize that Eek Stack Ik Ik approached her, entering her mouth despite Song trying to pull it out, and died after a seizure provoked by the butterfly. Song's body was found by Larry Fitzgibbon convulsing so he held her in his arms as he worried that she wouldn't wake up, until Eek Stack Ik Ik possessing Song woke up after having inherited all her memories.[3]
Legacy[]
- "Now, the Asian cop is Goff."
- ―Peacemaker to Clemson Murn[src]
The butterfly, pretending to be Song, went to look for Peacemaker and Vigilante to the impression of Larry who, believing that the real Song had awakened, asked her to return worrying about her health. When seeing Locke lying about their escape, she told Fitzgibbon that she believed that Locke worked for "them" and that she had to call some "friends" confusing him who asked what was happening and Song didn't explain. When Peacemaker and Vigilante reunited with their team, they confessed to having kept Royland Goff's butterfly and that it entered Song's body, frustrating the team that the mission was at risk.
Eek Stack Ik Ik infiltrated the Evergreen Police Department where she reprogramed a computer to call the butterflies, while Fitzgibbon worried about Song continued to ask her what was happening to which she said she was fine, so the butterfly told Larry that she felt that Song was fond of him but that despite everything she planned it was better for everyone, but Larry didn't understand Song's attitudes. The butterflies made their way to the Police Department, infecting all the police officers and prisoners, finding Peacemaker's diary to incriminate Smith in a public press reveal, having reasons to imprison him and prevent him from stopping their plan.[3]
Disguising as Song, Eek Stack Ik Ik found the location of the rest of the team thanks to Locke's memory, murdering Clemson Murn along the way. Having secured their position, Eek Stack Ik Ik and the butterflies possessing prisoners and police traveled to Coverdale Ranch where they planned to teleport the cow away and avoid being found later.[4] However, the team found them by killing the cow, where Peacemaker shot Song's body as Eek Stack Ik Ik walked out.[5]
Personality[]
- "I do feel that she was fond of you."
- ―Eek Stack Ik Ik to Larry Fitzgibbon[src]
Sophie was a witty and rather no-nonsense individual who took her job seriously and always aimed to do the right thing. Sophie didn't take kindly to Auggie Smith's constant remarks but would always respond back in a snarky way. Upon discovering that Auggie had been framed for murder she was fully commited to capturing Peacemaker and clear Auggie's name, being able to put aside her personal disgust for him to do her job properly.
Sophie was one of the few truly moral people in Evergreen, she immediately recognized Caspar Locke was corrupt and meant to keep Auggie Smith in prison by keeping the fake evidence in place, and she went behind his back to get Auggie released and get an arrest warrant for Peacemaker.
Ironically, Sophie's desire to always do the right thing is what caused her demise, as her determination to capture Peacemaker is what allowed Eek Stack Ik Ik to break free and take over Sophie's body killing her in the process. According to Eek Stack Ik Ik, Sophie's friendship with Fitzgibbon was also genuine.
Apparentally, Sophie had a crush on Larry Fitzgibbon, her partner, but wasn't capable of telling him about it.
