Simon Stagg was the founder and CEO of Stagg Industries and also the most notable financier of Black Gold Cooperative, an oil company founded by charismatic television personality Max Lord.

Business Career
Stagg was a leading American businessman who builds up his own business Stagg Industries.[1]
Chaos of the Wishes
In 1984, he invested in other companies regularly including Black Gold Cooperative owned by Max Lord. Eventually Stagg discovers that Black Gold Cooperative is a ponzi scheme. He confronted Lord about his investment and demanded his money back. Once Lord imbued himself with the power of the Dreamstone he uses the wishing power to have Stagg arrested.[1]
Days later, the people of the world renounced their wishes including Max Lord himself,[1] thus opening the possibility of Stagg's release from jail.
