Russia, officially known as the Russian Federation, is the largest country in the world in terms of landmass, occupying both Europe and Asia. It is one of the most powerful and most influential countries on planet Earth.

20th Century
World War I
Russia, at the time known as Russian Empire, was one of the nations who participated in World War I.[1][2]
Cold War
The Russian Federation, in a time when it was part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), was the opponent front against the United States of America during the Cold War.[3][4]
Russian immigrants founded in Gotham City a district named Little Odessa (inspired by the city of Odessa). It featured a club known as Kremlin Klub, founded as an ironic nod to the neighborhood's rumored history of being a hive of Soviet spies and KGB enforcers.[5]
Early 21st Century
Kryptonian Arrival
In 2013, Moscow was one of many cities of Earth contacted by the Black Zero.[6]
Superman Saves the Space Crew
In 2015 a Russian rocket was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.[7] Though the rocket underwent a critical failure, the crew was saved by Superman.
War for Earth
In 2017, Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons used a decommissioned nuclear silo located in the small village of Pozharnov in northern Russia as a base in which to house the Mother Boxes during his second invasion of Earth. However, the intervening of the Justice League stopped his conquest plans and forced him to escape. However, the destruction of Pozharnov left many inhabitants without homes or shelter.[8]
Attack on the Stalnoivolk
In 2018, the Stalnoivolk, a Russian submarine, is boarded and hijacked by Jesse Kane's pirate crew, killing the captain and some of the crew members. Aquaman later intervened and saved the remaining crew and defeated the hijackers.[9][10]
