"More nuclear weapons. More than they have. Closer to them. If I just had that in place, then they would have to listen to us."
―Ronald Reagan to Max Lord[src]

Ronald Reagan[1][2] was an American politician who served as the 40th President of the United States of America.

Biography[]

Presidency[]

"This country is confronting a brutal challenge, from guerrillas armed and supported by others outside Guatemala."
―Ronald Reagan[src]

During his presidency, Reagan was involved in supporting the Guatemalan central government during the Guatemalan Civil War and offered U.S military support to aid the Guatemalan Armed Forces against various guerrilla groups, mainly to curb communist influences in the country. On December 4, 1982, he gave a speech to address the war and numerous problems brought by it.[1]

Reagan was also involved in U.S. military operations in Grenada and Lebanon and refered to Alaska as the "1st defense line".[2] Additionally, the Star Wars program was proposed during his administration until the Atmospheric Scatter Program was given as a potential successor, which was capable of touching any television set in the world using satellite-directed particle beams.[3]

Chaos of the Wishes[]

Manipulated by Max Lord[]

"You’re having some troubles?"
"Everywhere suddenly. Cuba, Egypt, even here. But Russia… very troublesome. I appreciate your concern, but all the money in the world won’t help us now."

In 1984, Reagan was visited by Max Lord at the White House during his Dreamstone-fueled power grab. Max met Raegan in the Oval Office, where he was sure he hadn't been a moment ago (the effects of the Dreamstone actualizing their meeting), and Max manipulated the president into making a wish. His wish was to have more nuclear weapons so the Soviet Union would back down from their threats of war. Max granted the wish, taking from Raegan the power of being treated as an independent nation with diplomatic immunity.

Before leaving, Max noticed a board detailing the Atmospheric Scatter Program and requested access to the associated satellite station where he could use this technology, to which Raegan obliged. After Max left, Raegan was informed of the additional nukes numbering in the hundreds, that had magically been added to their current arsenal.[3]

Renouncing his Wish[]

Later, upon hearing a mysterious woman's plea over Max's broadcast, Reagan renounced his wish, having magically witnessed what his wish was causing to the world. This caused all the extra nuclear weapons to disappear and those launched to disintegrate mid-flight, resulting in a ceasefire between the United States and the Soviet Union and preventing a nuclear war.[3]
