Rao is the Kryptonian god of sun.[1][2]
History[]
In Kryptonian lore, the great god Rao defeated Cythonna, a feat that was praised by Kryptonians for centuries to come.[2]
The star Krypton orbits was named Rao in honor of this god. The Sword of Rao was also eventually named after this god.[3]
