History[]
Preparation for the Battle of Midway City[]
The Punchline is among the items, clothes, and weapons returned to Harley. She later opted to use her bat instead and left the mallet behind.[1]
Battle at the Booby Trap[]
Quinn later used the Punchline to fend off Roman Sionis's goons while trapped in The Booby Trap on Amusement Mile alongside Dinah Lance, Helena Bertinelli, Renee Montoya, and Cassandra Cain.[2]
Behind the Scenes[]
- In the comics, Harley Quinn's mallet is one of her signature weapons. The first instance of Harley using a mallet came in The New Batman Adventures, in the series' debut episode "Holiday Knights". In the episode, Batman chases Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy into a toy store, and while hiding in an FAO Schwarz-esque display, Harley takes an oversized mallet from a nutcracker animatronic and hits Batman in the head at point-blank range.[3]
- In February 2020, the mallet was introduced in the video game Fortnite: Battle Royale as a Harvesting Tool, naming it "Punchline".
