The President of the United States is an unnamed individual who was the leader of the United States Government who served during the 2013-2017 presidential term.
Biography
Kryptonian invasion
When the Kryptonian ships made its presence known above Earth, the President declared a nationwide state of emergency.[1]
Showdown in Gotham Port

During the Showdown in Gotham Port, the president called the army to ask what was going on. Soon after, he gave permission for NASA to use nuclear armaments to kill Doomsday in orbit, at the possible cost of killing Superman as well. However, the attempt failed, resulting in giving Doomsday even more power to absorb whilst knocking Superman out of commission temporarily. Secretary Calvin Swanwick then noted that they couldn't attack, lest they make the creature more powerful. When the president asked for clarification, Swanwick emphasized that the creature was unkillable.[2]
Equipment
- LGM-30 Minuteman missiles with W87 nuclear warheads: As commander in chief of the United States Armed Forces, the president is capable of calling on the Air Force to launch nuclear missiles. One such missile was used during Doomsday's attack on Gotham Port, striking the monstrosity along with Superman somewhere high above Metropolis. The warheads have a 300-475 kiloton output.
