Philip Darnell[1] was a British colonel during World War I and a member of the British War Council. He was the direct superior of Steve Trevor and a member of the Imperial War Cabinet.[2]

- In the comics Phillip Darnell, also known as Colonel Darnell and later General Darnell, was a commanding officer in the military intelligence division of the United States Army. His subordinates included pilot Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman. Phillip Darnell was created by William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter, first appearing in All-Star Comics #8. (1942)
