Pearl Harbor is a lagoon harbor on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, west of Honolulu. Much of the harbor and surrounding lands consists of a deep-water naval base owned by the United States Navy.

On December 7, 1941, Japanese aircraft bombed Pearl Harbor taking the United States Navy completely by surprise. The attack on Pearl Harbor lead to bring the United States of America into World War II as an Allied Power. The event was also recorded on the Daily Planet newspaper.[1]
