The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is an independent agency of the United States Federal Government founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower. It has a relationship with Wayne Enterprises division Wayne Aerospace, which supplies experimental aircraft to the agency.[1]

Founding

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, better known as NASA, was founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower, when the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, better known as NACA was having challenges with making satellites and rockets during the Cold War.[2]

Scout Ship 0344.

A NASA satellite discovered a Kryptonian scout ship called Scout Ship 0344 on Ellesmere Island, Canada, which was hidden on Earth for thousands of years.[3] The Scout Ship 0344 became Superman's base of operations, and it became known as the Fortress of Solitude.[4]

The nuclear bomb is targeted at Doomsday.

Under the orders of Secretary of Defense Calvin Swanwick, NASA launches a nuclear bomb at a Kryptonian mutant named Doomsday to help Superman kill him in space, but is unsuccessful and Doomsday returns to Earth. But Doomsday is later killed by Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman, with Superman risking his life in the process, leaving Earth defenseless.[5]
