Moscow is the capital and most populous city in Russia. It was the capital of the Soviet Union prior to its dissolution in 1991.

In 1984, nuclear missiles were launched from outside the city, though they were lost en route.[1] As a result, a ceasefire was decleared between the Soviet Union and the United States.
