"Don't worry, Flag, I got the bird!"
―Mongal[src]

Mongal was an alien warrior from the planet Warworld that was made part of the initial Task Force X strike team sent to Corto Maltese. Upon reaching the island, Mongal accompanied her allies to confront Corto Maltese's soldiers, where she tried to attack a helicopter, but died in the process, accidentally killing Captain Boomerang as well.

Biography

Early life

The daughter of Mongul the Elder, Mongal originated on Warworld, and eventually traveled to Earth.[1]

Mission in Corto Maltese

After arriving on Earth, Mongal was incarcerated in Belle Reve, where she subequently became a member of Task Force X. In 2021, she traveled to Corto Maltese to destroy the prison and laboratory known as Jotunheim, formerly used by the Nazi Party, as well as wiping out everything to do with the dangerous Project Starfish.[2]

Mongal attempts to take down a helicopter.

Mongal was completely silent for most of the mission, but after Blackguard's betrayal on the beach of Corto Maltese, and the battle that followed, she attempted to take down an enemy helicopter, even though desperately told not to by Rick Flag. The helicopter crashed, killing some soldiers, Captain Boomerang, and Mongal herself, dying from being burned alive.[2]

Personality

Mongal was tough, resilient, and aggressive, more than able to hold her own in a fight. However, she was very stubborn and instinctual, diving headfirst into a fight without thinking of the consequences, which ultimately got her and Captain Boomerang killed. She also seemed somewhat introverted, not conversing with any Squad members until in the heat of battle. And also slightly humorous, looking amused when Blackguard expressed his concern of being sat next to Weasel.[2]
