In 2017, after Lex Luthor was freed from the Arkham Home for the Emotionally Troubled in Gotham City, he would eventually use spare money to retreat to a lavish private yacht off the coast of Monte Carlo. Luthor contacted Deathstroke and invited him to his yacht, where they would discuss a plan about Deathstroke's nemesis the Batman.
