Hey, nice to meet you! I'm trying to clean up some of the the DCEU pages that are in need of re-writes and noticed you moved the Atlantean page from stub status and put the re-write infobox on the history section. Do you recall why you labeled that section in particualr for rewriting? No digs or anything, just trying to figure out what's wrong so I can fix it!
Because the section doesn't cover the history of Atlanteans properly. It doesn't explain Atlantis' prominence before it sank, the evolution of Atlanteans following the cataclysm, Atlanna's banishment and ostracism, the conflict between Ocean Master and Aquaman, Ocean Master's campaign to rule Atlantis, or the battle that resulted in Aquaman becoming king.
Hello. Before I start this, I don't want you to think it's a criticism because it's not. I can infer, from your edits, that you are, indeed, a great and talented contributor. My only wishes are that you thoughtfully consider before you remove large chunks of info from pages, which I deem as some fantastic work from all the excellent contributors of this Wiki. Yes, there are some that are unnecessary but please try to see which ones should be kept and which deleted. Doing so will greatly improve the Wiki's quality. That's all I've got to say and I don't want to sound condescending.
EDIT: The only thing I can think this would be referring to would be my edit on Aquaman's page, the removal of "Expert Literarian", which was removed because it's a paragraph that essentially says "he's a good reader". That and because how it was written, which was comprised of a series of quotes, which do not accurately reflect what the contributor who wrote it was trying to say.
It would serve a greater purpose going in his Personality section rather than his Abilities, as that is more for attributes which can be trained and defined to various degrees of mastery (Standard, Expert, and Master are the usual; though 'Standard' isn't used).
I will admit that I did the edits while tired, so that is on me for not properly repurposing the information.
No, I wasn't referring to Aquaman's page only. This has been a consistent action towards other pages as well though I apologise if this sounds patronising. For example, when I first joined this Wiki, not too long ago, I found very contrasting levels of quality. There were some superb, engaging and thought-provoking entries (like Luthor's, Waller's and pages with similar styles). And then I came across Baman's. It was not as good in quality, to say the least. And my reasoning was that if most pages consistently followed the same level of excelleny, even the not-so-important ones, then why not for this particularly stand-out character? So when I checked the history of the page, I was stunned. It did, indeed, maintain the same level of excellency throughout (regarding the powers and abilities sections), until I found it'd changed into a mediocre state, that somewhat followed Captain America's style of page.
I get that you might think these entries are long, but long is fine if it truly captures the essence of the character. Removing large portions to then subsequently replace them with mediocrity, which some derives from the MCU Wiki's own inferiority, can heavily affect this Wiki's appeal. So please, use your skills as a complimentary tool, rather than a deleting one.
If that's from Shazam!, I won't be able to help as I haven't seen that movie.
EDIT: That's from Justice League, which I will have to rewatch (technically, I have to actually finish it, but whatever), but I will try to help. Although, there is already a page for that: Rescue at the Old Bailey Courthouse
No, no. It's okay. it should stay as Rescue.
The event was an attempted bombing, which was prevented by Wonder Woman, which qualifies as an Attack. If it were a Rescue, it would be a situation where people are unable to get help (such as the Rescue at the Bright Aurora) and were saved by WW.
Also, like I said before, I haven't watched Shazam!, so I'd be pretty useless with those pages.
Just a reminder that only proper nouns require a capital letter, as per the rules of the English language, so there's no need to move certain pages so all of their words start with a capital; the same can be said for powers/abilities lists.
That's not necessarily the case. If I were to talk about my car, I wouldn't call it "MakeShift's Car", I'd call it "MakeShift's car". If for some reason I named it "MakeShift's Car", it's now a proper noun, but otherwise it's just a regular noun denoted with possession. I totally get where you're coming from, but yeah.
