During the Cold War, the Little Odessa neighborhood was alleged to be a hive of Soviet spies and KGB enforcers, though this was never confirmed.
Post Cold War[]
Years later, the two-level dance venue Kremlin Klub opened as an homage to the Cold War era rumors, with walls adorned with memorabilia from Russia and security cameras everywhere as a nod to the USSR's surveillance state.[1]

- In real life, the neighborhood of Brighton Beach in the New York City borough of Brooklyn became known as Little Odessa in the 1970s due to a large influx of Soviet immigrants, many of which were Ashkenazi Jews from Russia and Ukraine.
- In DC Comics, the Odessa Mob was a powerful Russian mafia organization in Gotham City that pledged loyalty to Black Mask.
