Kal-El was the last son of Krypton, son of Jor-El and cousin of Kara Zor-El. He was attemptivly sent to Earth in an escape pod after the planet's destruction. Though while on his path, he was intercepted and killed by Dru-Zod and the Sword and Rao.
Biography[]
Last Son of Krypton[]
Kal-El was born on Krypton to Jor-El. In the time leading to Krypton's destruction, Jor-El made preparations to save his son, developing two specialized pods to deliver him and Kara Zor-El, his cousin, to Earth, located many light years away from Krypton. Jor-El bonded the genetic information within Krypton's Growth Codex to the cell's of Kara Zor-El's body.[1]
Discovery and Death[]
- "We intercepted his pod, but your cousin was not the one that we needed."

After the pods were launched, they both eventually separated, with Kara landing on Earth and Kal's pod being intercepted by Dru-Zod. The Sword of Rao attempted to extract the Codex from him but found that he was not its host. Zod later recounted that Kal did not survive the procedure, a revelation that enraged Kara.[1]
Equipment[]
- Starcraft: As a baby, Kal-El was placed into a small starship which was used to send him to Earth. However, it was eventually found by the Sword of Rao.

Trivia[]
- In the comics version of the Flashpoint Timeline, Kal-El never died with his pod instead landing in Metropolis, where he was captured by the government and held captive in a laboratory. Years later, he was found malnourished by the main timeline Flash, along with an alternate Batman and Cyborg.[2]
