This highly customized Colt Gold Cup Trophy is the personal sidearm of Joker.
Description
The gun is heavily customized with a purple finished slide and frame with all the other parts being gold plated, custom gold inlaid engravings on the flats of the slide and frame, and textured faux ivory grip panels with gold Joker emblems. [1]
History
After escaping from Arkham Asylum, Joker drove through Gotham City in his Smiley Car, with Doctor Harleen Quinzel in hot pursuit on a motorcycle. She came to a halt and stopped in the middle of the road and stood in Joker's path, forcing him to stop. While Joker and Quinzel conversed, a truck driver angrily got out and insulted Joker for holding up the road, leading Quinzel to take Joker's Colt Gold Cup Trophy from his jacket and shoot the truck driver, killing him. She then held the pistol up to Joker's forehead, but Joker was not fazed and eventually took it back from her.[2]
After Quinzel became Harley Quinn, gang boss Monster T visited Joker's lavish strip club. He lusted for Harley Quinn, and Joker toyed with him before eventually shooting him with his pistol.[2]
Later, Joker and Quinn drove in the Smiley Car before they were intercepted by Batman, who pursued them and jumped from the Batmobile to the roof of their car. Harley disliked this and used Joker's pistol to try to shoot Batman through the roof of the car.[2]
In a potential future of the Knightmare, the gun, along with Harley Quinn's customized gun is seen holstered in the Joker's vest.
