- In the comics, John Stewart was the fourth human to become a Green Lantern after Alan Scott, Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner. He was also a member of the Justice League.
Behind the Scenes[]
- Originally, John Stewart, played by Wayne T. Carr, was going to appear in the final scene of Zack Snyder's Justice League. Zack Snyder filmed the scene in his backyard, but Warner Bros. ordered it removed since they had plans for the character. Instead, Snyder reused the scene, switching John Stewart with Martian Manhunter.[1]
- Common would have played John Stewart/Green Lantern in the cancelled Justice League: Mortal which he would have worked with D.J. Cotrona as Superman and Adam Brody as Barry Allen/Flash.
