For other uses of Robin, see Robin (disambiguation).

"Croc was briefly in competition with a small army of Batman villains under the leadership of the Joker. But in his time as a crime boss, Croc employed such experienced henchmen as the Riddler and Penguin. Of his list of atrocities, the murder of Joseph and Trina Todd is notable, as their deaths inspired their adoptive son Jason to take up the costumed role of the second Robin."

Jason Peter Todd is a young man who at some point in time became the second Robin following the first Robin's death. His current whereabouts remain a mystery.[1]

Biography[]

Early life[]

When he was young, Jason was adopted by the individuals Joseph and Trina Todd.

Becoming the new Robin[]

At a later point in time, they were murdered by the crime boss Killer Croc. This sent Jason down a path that would eventually take him to Gotham City, where he took up the mantle of the costumed vigilante, Robin, to fight crime. This likely happened after the previous Robin's death, leaving Jason an opening to take up the title.[1]

Relationships[]

Family[]

  • Trina Todd † - adoptive mother

Enemies[]

Behind the Scenes[]

  • The inclusion of Jason Todd's name at all is an oversight. Director David Ayer later confessed he assumed Zack Snyder's Robin referenced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was Jason Todd, but that he never intended to stray from Snyder's plan. Both directors confirmed that Richard Grayson is the only Robin either of them intended to include in the DCEU, but the fact remains that Jason's name does appear on an official prop.
