Arrest of Henry Allen[]
After the murder of Nora Allen, her husband Henry Allen was charged with her death by the criminal system, and sentenced to a life sentence in Iron Heights Penitentiary. His son, Barry, visited his father frequently in prison, convinced that one day he would finally be able to prove his innocence.[1]
Arrest of Brian Durlin[]
Computer criminal Brian Durlin, known as Savant, was incarcerated at Iron Heights Penitentiary on at least two separate occasions for kidnapping and destruction of property, respectively. By 2020, Brian had been transferred to Belle Reve Correctional Center in Louisiana, where he was recruited by Amanda Waller into Task Force X.[2]
Arrest of Girder[]
In 2022, the metallic metahuman Girder was arrested by the Central City Police Department and imprisoned in the metahuman wing of Iron Heights Penitentiary after being successfully detained by Flash and Batman. There, Girder was visited by Flash, who informed him that his father's life was no longer in danger thanks to an anonymous donor.[3]
Liberation of Henry Allen[]
One day before his appeal trial, Henry Allen called his son Barry Allen from Iron Heights Penitentiary. Barry informed him that, unfortunately, the recording of the supermarket he went to before Nora Allen's murder could not confirm the alibi he claimed since it did not show his face. However, after the change in the timeline caused by Barry after the Flashpoint, Henry was able to show his face in the recording video, which finally gave him the vote in favor of being declared innocent of the homicide and released from prison.[1]

- In DC Comics, Iron Heights Penitentiary houses many of the Flash rogues and superhuman criminals.
- Zack Snyder's planned story arc would have involved Leonard Snart being imprisoned in Iron Heights during the events of The Flash film which would lead into the first sequel to Justice League where Lex Luthor recruits his services as part of the Injustice League.[4]
