The night before Henry Allen was put on trial for Nora's alleged murder, Iris West went on a date with Barry Allen at his apartment, but when he left, she worried that he was taking too long, leaving a note to meet in court.
After Henry was freed by proving his innocence, Iris walked out of court with Barry, defending him from questions from several journalists, talking about his response to the public "Spaghetti", an opportunity that Iris used to asking him out, and they charmingly accepted, beginning a romantic relationship. Iris told Barry for him to call her for their next date, leaving the court as Barry looked on happily.[2]
