Hercules, also known as Heracles[1], was a demigod who was a great warrior and hero in Greek mythology.

Hercules was renowned for his incredible strength as the demigod son of a human woman and the Old God Zeus.[2] At some point, his power of strength was transferred to the wizard Shazam. The power was granted to Billy Batson by the wizard.[3]

- Hybrid physiology: As a son of Zeus, Hercules was an extremely powerful demigod.
- Superhuman strength: Due to his heritage, Hercules possessed incredible, superhuman strength. Indeed, Hercules' strength became legendary after numerous Ancient Greek myths extolled it. Hence, the word "Herculean" has come to mean incredibly strong and powerful, such as when referring to Kryptonians.[4]
