Hephaestus, also known as Vulcan, was the Greco-Roman God of Smithing and Fire. Among the other Old Gods, he opposed Ares in his corruption of the Human race. When the God of War attempted to destroy the Amazons, Hephaestus fought against him in the War of the Gods, losing his life in the conflict.

War of the Gods[]
Hephaestus fought alongside his fellow Old Gods against Ares, who decided to rebel against the Old Gods for not supporting his bloodthirsty and extremist views on humanity. Hephaestus was slain alongside the others at the hands of Ares during the conflict.[1]
