Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill (born May 5, 1983) is a British actor. He portrayed Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, Zack Snyder's Justice League, and Black Adam.
He also filmed scenes as Superman for The Flash, which were ultimately cut from the final film. But he still retained a cameo appearance in the film through a CGI model bearing his likeness.
He also portrayed an alternate Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
He was interviewed for the documentaries Strong Characters, Legendary Roles, All-Out Action and Justice League: Road to Justice.

- On December 14, 2022, Henry Cavill issued a statement via Instagram regarding his current status with DC Studios, informing him that he would no longer play the character due to the new creative direction of the DC Extended Universe being soft rebooted into the DC Universe.[1] Cavill's final appearance as Superman ultimately still came in 2023, when he made an uncredited cameo appearance in The Flash through the use of CGI.
