Guatemalan Civil War[]
From 1960 to 1996, Guatemala faced a brutal civil war between the government of Guatemala and foreign countries who provided military support either for or against various rebel groups. During this time, the use of child soldiers were common and Kord Industries being heavily involved in the war under the leadership of Victoria Kord.
Ignacio Carapax lived during this time living with his mother until she was killed by a bombshell manufactured by Kord Industries. Afterwards, he was found by Victoria who had him join a military group and fight in the war until he was crippled by a hidden landmine, prompting Victoria to use him as a test subject for the One Man Army Corps project.
Volcano Eruption[]
Superman helps Guatemala.
In 2022, a town in Guatemala fell victim to a volcano eruption, prompting Superman to fly to the country and use his laser vision to prevent the lava flow from reaching civilians.[1]
