The Galante Crime Family, or the Galantes, were a prominent criminal organization operating in Gotham City, New Jersey.

Operations[]
At one point, the Galante Crime Family operated out of the Little Italy neighborhood in Gotham City.[1] They also seemed to be affiliated with Roman Sionis and his criminal organization.
Bertinelli Massacre[]
The Galantes brutally massacred the entire Bertinelli Crime Family in the Bertinelli mansion under the orders of Sionis to get the Bertinelli diamond, an extremely valuable diamond once owned by the now defunct crime family of the same name. Unbeknownst to them, Helena Bertinelli, the family's young daughter who was forced to witness her family's slaughter, survived the massacre. Helena consequently trained in Italy for years to get revenge on the Galantes.
Downfall[]
After Helena finished her training in Italy and returned to Gotham City as "Huntress," she assassinated almost all of the crime family's members. She also sought revenge against criminals affiliated with Black Mask and after discovering that the her family's killers where in league with his criminal organization. She finally tracked down Victor Zsasz the last person responsible in her family's assassination and killed him, finally avenging her family.[2]
