- "I don't mean to be presumptuous, but you wouldn't happen to have any advice on how to, slow them down. Would you?"

Synopsis[]
Iris?? Yes, Barry's ex is a fellow contestant, but he's got no time to dwell on that as he scrambles to prepare for his first match. The Flash spins into battle against The Top.
Plot[]
Barry Allen approached to talk to Iris West, but she asked him to stay away so she could train, however Allen kept trying to talk to her asking if she recognized him asking if she still worked as a photojournalist but she explained how Murmur censored all journalists, finally asking him to stay away because he distracted her from training. Not knowing each other, Allen proposed to start introducing themselves, with him mentioning being from another dimension, but West showed no interest and Allen insisted on using her help to return to his dimension, making her angry and kicking him when he got too close, believing that he was luring her into losing and warning him not to talk to her again. Cold then explained to Allen how West had become a resistance fighter, so Allen revealed how in his timeline they used to date.
Later, Captain Cold offered Allen food but he wasn't hungry, sad that West thought he was a creep, but Cold told him to focus on the competition while Allen was upset about the injustice of the circus. In that, Top arrives to talk to Captain Cold after not speaking for a while, meeting Barry Allen, to whom he asked what he was, with Allen answering being a forensic scientist, disappointing Top for not being a job with glory on TV, but Cold told him that Allen was a strategic thinker, angering Top for having trained so much to face an unworthy competitor, leaving. Allen went to the GBS Studios Library to look for a book on Newtonian mechanics, meeting Turtle, who asks him about where to find the thermodynamics section, taking the opportunity to talk to him, who mentioned having to face Heat Wave, but the Librarian asked them to keep silent, with Allen asking for advice to slow down.
The next day, during Roscoe Dillon's competition against Simon Chang, who had performed a DDoS attack on Murmur's infrastructure, the hosts also discussed how Chang's accomplices attempted to disrupt GBS Studios' Marketplace during Cyber Monday. Top began to pick up speed, killing him with ease, giving way to Barry Allen to compete against Top, Dillon began to rotate while Allen pulled a device from his pocket to slow him down, defeating him. The hosts explained that Dillon was going to be fed to the horses, scaring Allen but Cold asked him not to worry and celebrate, but Allen still found it insane. Allen approached Iris West again to ask for help, insisting that he was from another dimension and proving it by knowing information about her, surprising her who asked him to get away.
For Turtle's confrontation against Heat Wave, Turtle used Captain Cold's Cold Gun, angering Leonard on television who ended up breaking it, Allen asked him to calm down but Cold discovered that Allen had exchanged Turtle's slowmo technology with his Cold Gun, when Allen proposed to get it back, Captain Cold exploded with anger and beat Allen up.
