Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – Lex Luthor is the fifth and final chapter in the Warner Bros. Pictures Presents Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice series, acting as a prequel to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Plot[]

After the Black Zero Event, Lex Luthor stands alongside his assistant Mercy Graves at a press conference amongst the ruins of LexCorp Tower in Metropolis, declaring that his building was the largest and most technologically advanced skyscraper in Metropolis until it was destroyed in the Kryptonian attack. However, he declares that amongst the wave of companies fleeing from Metropolis, he promises to rebuild LexCorp Tower and professes his love for his city. Neil, a news reporter, asks Lex that if Metropolis doesn't recover, then his reconstruction plans would be disastrous. Lex counters by saying his financial support is the least he can do amongst the heroic firefighters, paramedics, first responders, and citizens that assisted in the aftermath. Other reporters add that in wake of LexCorp's decision to stay, politicians and celebrities have denounced retreating companies as traitors. Inspired by Lex Luthor's philanthropy, several companies have decided to stay in Metropolis, some chose to reverse their retreats, and some have chosen to relocate to Metropolis who had never been there before. Lex continues by saying that he believes in the good intentions of the companies choosing to stay in Metropolis, and a reporter claims that Lex Luthor is as much a hero to Metropolis as Superman. However, Lex angrily replies that he is nothing like Superman. A reporter named Ken shows him news footage of Superman rescuing a runaway train, which Lex responds by saying that humans are just as spectacular as Superman, if not more so, and the ruins of LexCorp stands as a testament to the capabilities of alien beings. As he is driven away with Mercy, she praises him for effectively handling the press, to which he simply states that it was the truth. He continues by noting the destructive superhuman powers of Superman and his refusal to interfere in global politics or conflicts. As they arrive at their headquarters, Lex accesses his computer terminal with screens showing the Fortress of Solitude and the corpse of Dru-Zod, declaring his commitment to learn more about Superman.
