- Jor-El discovers that the Kryptonian Law Council's decision to mine Krypton's core has destabilized the planet, which will soon implode.[6]
- Battle of Krypton: General Dru-Zod attempts a coup d'état in Kandor on planet Krypton.[6][7]
- Attack on the Council of Five: General Zod and the Sword of Rao arrive and conquer the legislation chamber where Jor-El is in session with them.[6][7]
- Attack on the House of El Citadel: The Sword of Rao attacks the House of El Citadel in search of the growth codex.[6][7]
- The infant Kal-El is successfully sent to Earth using a spaceship with a phantom drive.[6][7]
- The Kryptonian Law Council sentence the remaining members of the Sword of Rao to 300 cycles of somatic reconditioning in the Phantom Zone.[6][7]
- Destruction of Krypton: Krypton implodes, killing the Kryptonian race. Kryptonians are now an endangered species.[6][7]

- Murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne: Thomas, Martha and Bruce Wayne have a family night out at the Aragon Theatre. After leaving the cinema function, they go through a dark alley where are stopped by Joe Chill, who threatens them with his gun. Thomas tries to defend his family but Chill quickly shots and wounds him fatally. Martha tries to wrestle the gun, but the burgal shots her and destroys her pearl necklase. While Bruce screams in horror, dying Thomas calls Martha with his last whisper.[18][22]

- During the funeral for Thomas and Martha Wayne at the Wayne Mausoleum, Bruce breaks away from the crowd and runs into a forest. There, he stumbles across a decrepit area of the estate and falls into a cavern filled with numerous bats who surrounded him in fear.[18]

- A divine wall appears near Cairo, preventing many people from obtaining fresh water.[23]
- Chase towards Cairo: Wonder Woman chases down Max Lord in Egypt, but loses him in Cairo. He goes on to accumulate over 50% of the world's oil lands shortly after.[23]

- Showdown at the White House: Max Lord meets with the President of the United States at the White House. Wonder Woman breaks in to take the Dreamstone from him, but is held off by White House security and Barbara Minerva, allowing Lord to escape.[23]
- Maxwell Lord uses the U.S. government's secret particle beam technology to indirectly touch the people of the world, simultaneously overriding local television signals to display his message across the world. He grants wishes across the world, taking lifeforce and power from the people for himself and Barbara.[23]
- Confrontation at the Atmospheric Scatter Satellite: In Washington D.C., Wonder Woman faces off against the supervillains Cheetah and Maxwell. She defeats Cheetah before convincing Maxwell and the world's citizens to renounce their wishes, preventing a nuclear war and reversing the chaos caused by the Dreamstone.[23]
