Fawcett Central School is a school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and where Billy Batson and his foster siblings attend.
History[]
20th century[]
Fawcett Central School was opened in Philadelphia in 1923, with additions to the school made in 1932, 1939, 1956, and 1958. A war memorial dedicated to the teachers and students who fought in World War II was unveiled on May 30, 1948.
21st century[]
On 2018, after Billy Batson was adopted by the Vasquez family, he attended Fawcett Central School, alongside his foster siblings Mary Bromfield, Freddy Freeman, Eugene Choi, Pedro Peña, and Darla Dudley. On Billy's first day of school, Freddy was attacked and bullied by the Breyer siblings, Brett and Burke, until Billy comes to his foster brother's defense when one of them insults Freddy for not having a mother. Briefly getting the upper hand on them, Billy then flees, thanks to a distraction from Eugene and makes it to safety onto a subway, where he met the wizard Shazam and became the new champion.

On the next day after the Shazam family defeated Thaddeus Sivana, Billy came to the school cafeteria as the superhero while Mary, Eugene, Pedro and Darla changed their lunch schedules to eat with Freddy and Billy. As the superhero, he impressed the other school kids, telling them that Freddy taught him everything he knows. He also told Freddy he invited a friend. Looking over, Freddy saw Superman standing right next to him, and is shocked that the Man of Steel is actually there.[1]
After getting caught skipping school, Billy Batson was given the option to forgo his detention if he joined the school football team, the Fawcett Tigers, to replace their injured quarterback.[2]

Trivia[]
- Fawcett Central School is most likely named after Fawcett City, the original residence of Captain Marvel.
- Fawcett Central School is in session on weekends.
- Four consecutive school days are shown. The day Billy starts at Fawcett and gets his powers, the next two days he and Freddy skip to test the powers, and the fourth day Billy skips on his own. The video upload dates are December 9th and 10th, 2018, which are a Sunday and Monday. Since Freddy recorded on the second and third day, and the videos had already been seen by his classmates on the fourth day, he must have uploaded them almost immediately after filming them, which means he filmed on Sunday and Monday, which in turn means Billy's first day at Fawcett was a Saturday, and his second, a Sunday.
