Evan Calcaterra is the husband of Amber Calcaterra. The pair were tied up by Peacemaker inside their apartment when he was hiding from the Evergreen Police Department following his fatal fight with Annie Sturphausen.

Calcaterra helps Peacemaker collect his items.
Living for seven years with his wife, Amber Calcaterra, in the Wild Estates Apartment Complex, Evan was resting until Peacemaker knocked on his door to let him in, confusing Evan, seeing how Smith entered his apartment and accidentally threw his records away, finding himself fleeing from the Evergreen Police Department, Smith threatened Evan with a knife to pick them up. While collecting the records, Calcaterra saw Amber talking to Smith, arguing with her for not being able to call the police when under threat, but Smith asked them to keep quiet, grabbing a rope to tie them both up, scaring Evan for believing that she was going to kill him from claustrophobia.
Calcaterra insults his wife.
Evan gave him the bag with all his items, but he dropped the bag due to clumsiness, putting the items back and Smith thanked him and Evan was surprised to see Amber flirting with Smith and then being tied to chairs. Evan became upset with Amber for having sex, arguing with her for not knowing his musical tastes, and Amber berated him for wanting the song Pumped Up Kicks, calling it murderous and claiming he was the "killer of her spirit", teasing Evan about Amber wanting to be with Smith, until he covered his mouth and escaped out the window. When Sophie Song freed them, the pair reported his escape and continued arguing.[1]

The next day, the Calcaterras continued their insult-laced conflict to speak with the Evergreen Police Department about the suspects in Annie Sturphausen's murder, meeting Leota Adebayo, who attempted to bribe them out of framing Christopher Smith by offering a trip to Lake Tahoe, and the pair agreed to Adebayo's blackmail, conditionated to frame Peacemaker's father, Auggie Smith, which would free Peacemaker from his troubles with the police. At the police station, Evan stated that Auggie was responsible for her kidnapping,[1] and upon hearing Amber call Smith "sexy", Evan exploded in anger, insulting her.[2]

The Calcaterras are forced to confess the truth.
Days later, Amber and Evan were at their apartment, answering the door, where he found detectives Sophie Song and Larry Fitzgibbon, Evan tried to pretend that nothing was happening, but when looked at menacingly by Song, he finally confessed that they were forced to lie, being overheard by Amber who called him a coward. Inside the apartment, Evan confessed that Peacemaker was the one who tied them up through a photo, even though Amber tried to lie, Evan stopped him because it was not the time for lies, telling the police that they didn't want to get Smith in trouble for being a good person, complaining to the police that Auggie was a dangerous person.[3]
Personality[]
Despite being married to Amber Calcaterra and living with him, Evan detests her behavior, never paying attention to her and for constantly fighting and insulting each other. When Peacemaker invaded their apartment he became angry on her as she felt attracted to Smith, who also shared her musical taste in rock, causing them to argue and insult each other, and getting even more hated by Evan when she described Smith as attractive to Sophie Song.
