"The most importart thing is that it's one hundred percent eternium. Just imagine what we could do with a power source like that."
Jeremy to Hawkman[src]

Eternium, formerly known by its ancient name lanat[1] is a rare, exotic element infused with magical properties and found exclusively within Kahndaq.[2] Reportedly, it could act as a very potent power source. Weapons made with eternium are one of the few items capable of harming champions such as Black Adam.

History[]

Ancient Times[]

When Ahk-Ton seized control of the African nation of Kahndaq, he enslaved the Kahndaqi people and forced them to mine for Eternum to forge the Crown of Sabbac.[2]

Studied by Jeremy[]

At some point Jeremy noticed an artifact in The Materials Exhibition in the St. Roch Museum with a symbol that translated as "The Champion". He pointed it out to Hawkman and noted that the artifact dated from around 2,600 B.C. and was supposedly cursed. Jeremy also noted how it was made of 100 percent Eternium, which could work miracles for their efforts even in comparison to Nth Metal. One application Jeremy suggested was in upgrading the thrusters on the Hawk Cruiser.[3]

Intergang Occupation[]

In 2021, Intergang seized control of Kahndaq and established an oppressive occupation of the country, mainly to exploit the country's deposits of Eternium. As a result, Intergang built mines to extract Eternium and were able to use it as a power source for their weaponry and hover bikes.[2]
