Epione was the head-chief healer of the Amazons.[1]
Biography
Early life
Epione was created as an Amazon by Zeus just like her other sisters. She served her Queen Hippolyta for thousands of years.[2]
She worked as doctor in the Themyscira infirmary.[3]
Themysciran beach battle
In the aftermath of the battle between the Amazons and the Germans, Steve Trevor was sent to Epione to help heal his wounds. While there, Steve informed Epione that Diana had saved his life.
When Hippolyta strictly forbade Diana to let Steve Trevor go free and make her own daughter go to Man's World and put an end to World War I, Diana went to see Epione and she healed the Amazon's wound on her arm.[2]
Attack on the Penetralium
In 2017, after a Mother Box awoke, a portal opened in the Penetralium, and out of it came Steppenwolf, accompanied by a horde of parademons. They wreaked havoc and fought for the Mother Box from the Amazons. During the ensuing battle, a parademon shot Epione, mortally wounding her. The Penetralium eventually crumbled, falling into the sea, seemingly killing most of its occupants, except Steppenwolf and some of the Parademons, who emerged from the Penetralium to continue their pursuit.[4]
