"Those kids will be more easily... persuaded to do exactly what I want them to do later. And the Retrobots will sort out any that might have the potential to cause trouble. It's a perfect system."
―Doctor Cyber to Serena Williams[src]

Doctor Cyber is the supervillain responsible for the takeover of the retrobots, which she reprogrammed to arrest potential criminals for the purpose of preventing crime before it started, enabling her to shape the world to her own sense of justice. Her expansion plans would lead her to conquer other universes including Earth-1, causing a group of heroines to join forces and take charge of stopping her, forcing her to restore the retrobots to normal.

Biography[]

Building her empire[]

At some point Dr. Cyber met Wonder Woman, leaving a lasting impression on her. She later traveled to another universe to build her own empire without interference from Wonder Woman, and she reprogrammed the retrobots. Retrobots were designed to arrest potential criminals, and these people were transported to the basement of S.T.A.R. Labs, where they would later be used as the workforce of Dr. Cyber's new empire. Eventually, the threat of the retrobots caused the superheroine Wonderous Serena to start protecting the populace, while conducting anti-retrobot awareness campaigns, Cyber would realize this as she continued the attacks without her knowing. At some point, Doctor Cyber thought she had eliminated Wonderous Serena.[1]

Attack of the retrobots[]

Multiversal attacks[]

The teleportation technology of the retrobots temporarily connected this universe with Earth-1 where they also began to capture people who were taken to the cells in S.T.A.R. Labs where Doctor Cyber operated, the invasion allowed Wonder Woman to join forces with Wonderous Serena, as well as their counterparts from their respective universes, tennis stars Diana Prince and Serena Williams.[1]

Confronting the heroines[]

"Wonder Woman, I didn't expect to see you on this Earth... and Wonderous Serena, I though I'd gotten rid of you. I see you found some little friends."
"Oh, I think you'll find they cause more than a little trouble."
"They aren't the only ones..."
―Doctor Cyber and Wonderous Serena[src]
Doctor Cyber welcomes the heroines

Doctor Cyber welcomes the heroines.

After joining forces in S.T.A.R. Labs, the heroines worked together and managed to track down Doctor Cyber's location after deducing that she was guarding an office that was being guarded by the Retrobots. Upon entering causing an explosion, Wonder Woman recognized her confused that she was responsible, Cyber then welcomed them sitting in her chair saying ironically that he did not expect to see them, especially Wonder Woman and Wonderous Serena who thought he had eliminated her.

Wonderous Serena tries to stop Doctor Cyber

Doctor Cyber dodges an attack from Wonderous Serena.

Wonderous told her that the retrobots had caused more than a little damage, so Cyber told her that the retrobots were not the only ones. Doctor Cyber then proceeded to attack them using her super speed from multiple angles scaring the heroines. Wonderous Serena approached her while she attacked her asking why she did the reprogramming, so Cyber explained her crime prevention plans while dodging her, this made Serena Williams ask her about all the families she separated with her actions.

Diana Prince attacks Doctor Cyber with her racket

Doctor Cyber is attacked by Diana Prince.

Cyber then threw her chair at her while explaining that this was the second part of her plan, having the objective to use the children of the families to eventually influence them and make them follow her ideas. Williams then explained to her that she was violating human rights and that her actions were wrong as she dodged the chair. The talk allowed Cyber to be distracted and Williams along with Diana Prince to attack her from two different angles, persuading her.

Doctor Cyber is detained under the power of the Lasso of Truth

Doctor Cyber is detained under the power of the Lasso of Truth.

The movements of Serena Williams and Diana Prince then allowed Wonderous Serena would have the opportunity to hit her in the face, and being weakened, she would be grabbed by the Lasso of Truth of Wonder Woman, finally falling on the ground where in her last attempts to move she would try to escape, but without success. Wonder Woman soon later would take care of it after holding her hands with the Lasso of Truth, forcing her to tell the truth.

Wonder Woman interrogates Doctor Cyber

Doctor Cyber is interrogated by Wonder Woman.

Having been detained, Wonder Woman took it upon herself to hold her hands, forcing her to tell the truth. Wonder Woman then asked Doctor Cyber for the location of the prisoners, to which Cyber confessed that they were in the cells of the basement. Wonderous Serena approached her to force her to repurpose the retrobots as helpers of those in distress, and then, she should be gone for a long time. Under the influence of the lasso, Doctor Cyber was forced to eventually comply, putting an end to the Retrobots' attacks, while the heroines took it upon themselves to rescue Cyber's prisoners, returning them to their families.[1]

Personality[]

"Crime prevention before it happens. I thought you heroes would be big fans."
―Doctor Cyber to Wonderous Serena[src]

Doctor Cyber firmly believes in a philosophy of distorted justice, thinking that any person who is slightly capable of committing a crime should be immediately arrested, regardless of their innocence and regardless of the consequences that this causes. Along with her hatred of Wonder Woman, Cyber traveled to an alternate reality to reprogram the Retrobots and take charge of carrying out her plans, harming said reality and then conquering others. Having more goals of expanding her empire on her sense of justice, she intentionally arrested parents of multiple children, and planned to eventually influence them to follow her ideas, considering it a "perfect system". Having been defeated, Doctor Cyber was forced to leave her targets behind.

Abilities[]

  • Programming mastery: Dr. Cyber is an incredibly gifted programmer, capable of reprogramming highly advanced S.T.A.R. Labs machines, the retrobots, to suit her own goals. Created by some of the most gifted minds in the world, she successfully took them over and turned them on the world.
  • Multiverse traveling: Dr. Cyber is familiar with the concept of traversing the multiverse, noting the out-of-place Wonder Woman of Earth-1 in Wonderous Serena's universe. Wonder Woman also recognized her, confirming the two met on Earth-1, and therefore Cyber was able to find a way to travel to Serena's world. Using the retrobots, she also sent Wonderous Serena to Earth-1 to free herself from the intrusion of heroes while attempting to take over Serena's world.

Equipment[]

  • Protective suit: Doctor Cyber wears a blue-hued protective suit made with special technology which allows her to launch bolts of blue electricity similar to speedsters like the Flash, which can be used to manipulate the objects around her similarly to telekinesis. The suit is made up of light armor on the front, which covers a belt with a circular button, as well as the chest and some bracelets that she wears as part of the suit. On the head of the suit, a helmet is used that covers Doctor Cyber's face except for her mouth and includes two black earmuffs. The helmet stands out for including glasses with a white plate that covers her eyes.
