Theft of the Staff of the Gods[]
Docent explains the destruction of the Staff of the Gods.
While working as a guide at the Acropolis Museum, Docent was showing the tourists the Staff of the Gods, saying that it held the power of several Gods, before noticing the presence of two people in armor, surprising him, who joked that museums were fun and asked them not to push each other because everyone could see the staff. Docent explained how the staff was broken in half after being found outside of Philadelphia, commenting that the wood was so strong that it destroyed trash compactors.
Docent is turned into stone.
As the two visitors began to break the glass, Docent became enraged at the property damage and unsuccessfully attempted to stop them, revealing themselves to be Hespera and Kalypso, and Docent could only watch in fear as Kalypso used her power of chaos to make people kill each other, so he confronted them, begging to be let go, however, Hespera turned all of the civilians into stone statues with her power of the elements. Turned to stone, Docent was pushed back by Hespera, killing him.[1]

- After Rizwan Manji's performance in Peacemaker, Peter Safran recommended him for a role in Shazam! Fury of the Gods. David F. Sandberg raised the possibility that Manji was indeed playing the same character in both projects.[2] James Gunn later opined that he thought of the second role as being that of Jamil's brother, with David F. Sandberg then jokingly replying that the opinion turned canon.[3]
