Slade Wilson, also known as Deathstroke, is a former assassin and mercenary who became a member of the Insurgency.

Biography[]

At some point in a potential future where Earth had been ravaged by the forces of Darkseid and Superman, Deathstroke teamed up with his former enemy Batman and joined the Insurgency in order to defeat Darkseid. The team planned to use a cosmic treadmill to send Flash back in time to prevent that timeline from being created. While in transit to their destination, the Joker began a brief discussion with Bruce Wayne about the people he had once lost, eventually offering a supposed truce before once more attempting to antagonize Wayne with knowledge of his past. After hearing this, Wilson asked Wayne if bringing the Joker with them was a good idea. Shortly afterwards, Cyborg detected movement from the skies before Superman appeared in front of them, provoking Deathstroke and the rest of the team to ready their weapons and prepare to engage in a last stand even as the corrupted Superman turned his heat vision in their direction.^[1]
