David Samuel Goyer (born December 22, 1965) is an American screenwriter, director, novelist, producer and comic book writer. He co-wrote Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

- Goyer wrote for the New Line Cinema productions Blade, Blade II, and Blade: Trinity, the final of which he directed.
- Goyer wrote for the Columbia Pictures productions Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The latter starred Idris Elba and Ciarán Hinds.
- Goyer co-wrote Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

- According to Goyer, he came up with the idea for Man of Steel while plotting the storyline of The Dark Knight Rises with Christopher Nolan. After he mentioned his idea to Nolan, Nolan then pushed him to go forth with the idea, going as far as telling Goyer that he wanted to produce the project.
