The Daily Star was a newspaper based out of Metropolis. It existed sometime before 1952, when the Daily Planet took over the building.[1]

In DC Comics, the Daily Star was a precursor to the later Daily Planet, first appearing in the same issue as Superman's debut, Action Comics #1 (1938).
