The Daily Planet Building is a skyscraper located in the Heroes Park District in New Troy, a borough of Metropolis. It is the headquarters of the tabloid newspaper Daily Planet.
History[]
The skyscraper was once the headquarters of the Daily Star. In a "war" between the Star and the Daily Planet in 1952, Morgan Edge and the Planet took control of the building and moved their editorial offices there, ousting its former owners.[1]
Behind the Scenes[]
- The Willis Tower in Chicago, Illinois doubles as the interior of the Daily Planet building in Man of Steel;[2] a set was built in a studio for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the latter film, 111 East Wacker Drive Chicago, Illinois doubles as the exterior.[3]
