The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is an agency of the United States Department of Defense responsible for the development of emerging technologies for use by the military.

Discovery of Scout Ship 0344[]
DARPA was called in to coordinate with the American and Canadian militaries upon the discovery of an alien craft and during the subsequent invasion of extraterrestrials in 2013. They were known to have designed a high-tech injector system that was meant to be tested on the being known as Kal-El.[1]
Conspiracy against Superman[]
In 2015, Jenet Klyburn, a researcher from S.T.A.R. Labs began testing the bullet retrieved from a Nairomian village. When analyzing its properties she speculated that the bullet could be a 'DARPA Black Box' that was given to the Nairomian rebels to test in the theater of war.[2]
