"Obsessed with dark magic, Ahk-Ton's real goal was to forge the Crown of Sabbac. If infused with the powers of the six demons of the ancient world, it would make Ahk-Ton invincible. To make the crown, he needed Eternium. A rare mineral of magical properties, found only in Kahndaq. So he enslaved his own people, and forced them to dig."
Amon Tomaz[src]

The Crown of Sabbac was an ancient historical relic hidden in Kahndaq by the Council of Wizards. It was forged under the orders of King Ahk-Ton and was capable of producing dark magic.

Search for the Crown[]

The crown was referenced by Mannheim as he became desperate and hopeless in his search for it. He asked Adrianna Tomaz about it even though she doesn't know where it was.

After escaping from the clutches of Intergang, Adrianna reunited with her brother and her son and attached a locket to a statue she had stolen. A bright light was then emitted which showed a map to the crown which was buried in a place called the Rock of Eternity. She then commented that neither had she heard of such a place nor does she consider this to be a regular artifact, then set out to find the crown before Intergang could get its hands on it.[1]

Capabilities[]

The crown can be described to having powers alongside the gods of Greek mythology as the artifact needs to find and lead them have become ancient and lost and powerful. Doctor Fate even has a vision of the crown on a demon's head. It is extremely dense and nearly indestructible as it's made of Eternium.

When it was worn by Ishmael Gregor, he was able to access the superhuman powers of Hell.

Behind the Scenes[]

  • Though the Crown of Sabbac was forged from a piece of Eternium that fell from the Rock of Eternity, it’s safe to say that it looks vary similar to DC comic’s “Black Heart of Darkness”, a mineral carved from Apokolips that’s mostly known to be used by the villain Eclipso who in the beginning was set to be the film’s [Black Adam] main villain instead of Sabbac.
