The Council of Atlantis or the Council of Houses, is a body of Atlanteans who govern the Kingdom of Atlantis.[1]
Biography[]
The Council of Atlantis is a primary governing legislative body of Atlantis, presumably made up of members of influential Atlantis noble houses. It is made up at least eleven presiding members, with Karshon serving as the current chairperson. The body has the ability to overrule the king on proposals and decision-making, something of which frustrated Arthur Curry, the current King of Atlantis.
The body can also grant the King of Atlantis war powers, including installing an Ocean Master, which the body once did with Orm Marius when he once held the throne. The body may also summon the king for emergency government sessions in cases of significant concern, such as rare plague outbreaks.
