The Codex Extraction Device is a device made of Kryptonian metal with a sharp blade protruding from it and with the ability to extract the Growth Codex from a body. It was used by Dru-Zod to extract the codex from Kara Zor-El.
History[]
Creation and Discoverement[]
The purpose behind the creation of this device is unknown but it had the ability to extract the codex from anyone's body. Possibly it was found by the Sword of Rao while searching the old Kryptonian outposts scattered across the universe who took possession of the device and took it with them in their flagship, the Black Zero.
Battle at Edwards Air Force Base[]

Dru-Zod extracts the Growth Codex from Kara Zor-El's body.
After arriving on Earth, requesting for a refugee to be taken to their custody and that not being fulfilled, the Sword of Rao would start a war against humanity to which the Justice League would arrive shortly after and with them Kara Zor-El, the bearer of the codex. Dru-Zod confronted Kara at Edwards Air Force Base until he defeated her by stabbing her back with a blade. From a Kryptonian dropship, two Kryptonians came down with the extraction device which Zod would nail into Kara's chest to extract the codex from her, killing her.
In the rest of the timelines that the Flashes would create while trying to save their friends, Zod would continue to murder Kara and continue to extract the codex from her body with the extraction device.[1]
